graphics card problem

I have recently installed a Radeon 9600 into another computer. It worked fine in the first but now every so often, about every 5mins or so, the screen will flash black and then come back to normal. I have the latest drivers installed from ATI. If I am playing a game this sometimes causes the computer to crash. I was wondering if the power supply is an issue at 250W, or some settings I can adjust. The card is installed in a computer that had onboard graphics before but I have disabled it ok from Hardware Devices. Should i go into BIOS and do anything else? Any ideas anyone? Also I am using a TFT screen with DVI input, Athlon 2700+ and 256MB Ram

if your screen flashes black and then comes back on, it sounds like somthing like vpu reset is kicking in, have you tried new drivers, is your cards inserted properly, it could be the power supply, have you tried this card in a different computer?

have you overclocked your graphics card by any chance?
 
-make sure the onboard is disabled in the bios
-download latest drivers from ATI's website
-uninstall the onboard drivers before you throw in the new card
-slim chance on this, but sometimes the pins on the card can get junk on them(ive seen it before), you can clean it with a white vinyl eraser just as if you were erasing something on paper o.O


250Watt seems a tad low for what you're running, I'd maybe try a 400Watt+ for your rig.
