Hard Disk Coolers

I've ordered two RAPTOR's and two of these.

I have no idea how to install them. Doesn't seem to fit "around" the disk as I expected (too small).

Also... This is all the result of an attempt to restore from an unknown PC problem. All of a sudden, Windows XP froze during the blue progress bar bit (when the logo comes up). After a few days, it turned into apparent hard drive failure.

So I now have one of these Raptors installed with XP on it and am now still having the same freeze problem intermittently... which doesn't do a whole lot for my peace of mind. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They screw onto the underside of the HDD, I have one of them, it drops the temp quite a bit by passing air directly onto the circui of the HDD, mine lowered temps by over 10*C although I took it out as it was too loud (i'm a noisy PC freak :P although it doesnt matter anymore with this loud VGA cooler...anyway...)
hmm I'm not sure what the problem with the HDD Could be, might be overheating although I doubt it, could be a SATA driver problem in XP...

OK... I have two internal 3.5" bays and 3 external 5.25" on my machine. I cannot get my HDs in the case with these attached.

I got an external 5.25" for one of my drives, which works great... but I'm out of 5.25" bays. The HD STILL won't fit in my case with the 2-fan deals attached, even with an empty slot under it.

Is there such a thing as a cooler that takes up an entire 3.5" internal bay just like a hard drive itself would?
