HELP with modem

I am having a problem with my modem. It keeps reseting itself after 5-10 minutes online.It has been doing this for the 2 months. I picked up a virus which AVG removed but ever since this has been a problem. I have tried to use other ISP (netscape,netzero) but they won't run at all.(currently using Wal-Mart the only one that works but still has problems)

Assuming it's configured correctly it could be you're phone line itself? You can contact you're phone line company about this problem and see if they can shed any light one this, anyone else you know with this prob? Or you could just buy another modem. Hey for $15 you're not wasting much even if it doesn't work.
