Yeah, it is quite sick but only 2 you or me who know not to treat animals like this. In times gone by before there were any supermarkets or shops what did we do. We used the same methods that are evident here for food and clothing. It appears barbaric but to them its just how they make a living and they don't know any different.
On the subject of not eating meat, as a species we are hunters thats why are eyes are at the front and also why we have canine teeth. we are lucky enough to be able to eat both meat and vegetables but to completely cut out one source of food would obviously have consequences. I have many vegetarian friends but they all suffer with a similar ailment. They are always cold, evn when its the middle of summer. Now what could be that reason, hmm i wonder.....(pondering).
In conclusion, how people live all around the world is going to be different, different cultures and all at different stages of the modern world. What some see as barbaric others see as normal and for us to push our views on to them is completely wrong. Let them decide for themselves their destiny. without the interference and medaling of the western world in issues they have no right to poke their noses into.

We are able to eat meat or choose not to, meat is definitely not essential. I have been vegetarian since birth (actually, i was vegan during my first few years as i reacted badly to cow milk etc) and generally i have been amongst the tallest and best built people of my age, admittedly, i have lost my shape recently due to beer and munchies ;) but i have always been the last one to get cold.

Eating meat is very inefficient anyway, you have to give the animal more to eat than your going to get by eating it! (and what about the bits you don't eat, oh, never mind... they go into sausages :P lol).

and to be honest, i don't see why we accept goods into the UK if they have not been made in a way that would be acceptable in the UK (and the same for staff conditions)...

Those videos are extremely disturbing. I couldn't even watch the whole of the first video. I don't care what country you are from or what culture you belong to, cruetly on this level should be banned everywhere.

Watching these videos won't turn me into a vegitarian because I know that animals are treated better elsewhere. However, I haven't eaten at a KFC or MacDonalds (or any dirty fast food restaurant) in years because I am well aware of the problems. Oh, and the food just tastes like crap...

Killing animals for only their fur is grotescue and wrong. However I am less against this if the rest of the animal was put to good use, ie, the meat was also used.
