I need to have some advice with this.

Hi.
Im Soner.
Im on a laptop and Im planning to buy a new PC.
Im planning to buy a Alienware PC.
The PC is called Aurora.
Here are the specs : Intel ® Core ™ i3 540 2.93 GHz (4 MB cache) Dual Core Processor
A 1 GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon ™ HD 5670 - DirectX ® 11
3 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 1333 MHz
500GB - SATA II 3Gb / s, 7200 RPM
Optical drive: 16X DVD + /-RW Drive (DVD / CD read and write)

So I asked around if this is the right PC or not.
And I am undecided.
Most of my friends say that I should built one myself.
And some of them say if I am too lazy *which I am* to build, then that I should buy the PC.
I am a gamer and I want a good PC.
But I have no clue what I should do so thats why I made this post.
Please tell me what is better.
--- Soner :)
PS: What is better ? Intel Core i5 or i7 ?
PPS: What is a better graphics card ? Ati or NVidia ?

Hi,

I would look for one with a slightly faster processor for a dual core system. Alienware computers can be quite expensive, so if you have that kind of cash, I would spend just a little bit more to get a faster processor. The rest of the PC looks nice, though I would see if they would bump the RAM up to 4GBs as well. If you know how to build a PC, I would suggest going that route though, as it will save you money. An I7 core is better on paper, but I don't know if most games out today are capable of using all of the cores of an I7 processor yet to the fullest extent of their capabilities. As for graphics cards, Ati and NVidia both have really good cards, it just depends on how much you want to spend and if you want to be able to have a SLI or Crossfire setup, that will be dependant on what your motherboard supports.
