First, THIS thread has pretty much been a guide to me, for whenever i get fuzzy or confused, or whatever else. On that, i think i may have found a girl :) Yes HAHAAH...

granted I hear ya. Of course, this presents a new opportunity: dating a girl with a name that doesn't start with 'A'. I kid you not, all 3 of the girls of dated have names starting with A. Bizzare, to say the least. /Big B

... that kinda shook me a little bit, but whatever. Honestly, i have learned more about myself in the last couple years, its crazy, and like what was said in that thread, and what i've found, every relationship is different, so you have to treat every relationship differently, and obviously the person whom its with. So, that is still my biggest issue, and oddly, kind of saved my current situation. My only qualm about us right now, is how fast we moved, like it was honestly ridiculous. HOWEVER, like i was saying, you need to treat every relationship differently, so, whatever, it happened, i'm over it. Granted, its not that simple, it was none the less, crazy, so it tends to come up, BUT, and also said, in the "Love" thread, no one is perfect. ..... LOL... as shallow as i sound, i'm getting better at not picking people apart. (but i blame my best friend, as he constantly does that, and it rubs off) YES, so anyways, i can't believe how similar we are, and she is the most positive, bright person i have ever met, which is extremely inspiring, and i pretty much love that feature, plus, she is really cute to... and tall.... lol. Oh yeah, and her self esteem is through the roof, not like she is self centered, she is just very sure of herself, which i also am very fond of.
On a side note... i like reading through old threads, HAHA... and my signature pretty much explains all else (and Mega) :D haha... i'm pretty sure i have some of that going on here to.

BTW: i didn't see that "love" thread, but, if i had, i would have agreed with fact that "divorce is NOT an option" because i don't believe in divorce even though I've always being single

Well, the actual dating part's speed is just one factor. I talked to my current fiancee for about 9 months before we even met, and then we started dating a few weeks later. Engaged about 5 months later (but keep in mind we'd been discussing that point for some time, much like getting a house), so yeah, the relationship doesn't need to be dictated entirely by time.
If you're serious about love, you won't use it as tool just to get in a girls pants, but it seems like you are serious.
Yup. Divorce shouldn't be an 'option' as that's really ending it. After one serious breakup, I never want to get a divorce.

Good for you to looking at the person and understanding the picture-perfect person may not exist. The closer you get to be on the same line, the better off you are. Having someone with similar goals and ideas goes a long way for a solid relationship. Resolving the inevitable conflicts that come up is a lot easier if you've got the same end goal.

I still feel like Tim Taylor rather than Cassanova a lot of the time, but I've still got her.

weird, i'm like him too, i never read instructions, sometimes foolishly, as i think i know best, usually, i'm correct as most things you just use basic common sense, but, when dealing with love common sense takes a holiday, & your on your own

Ok. Now I think if you feel that it's moving too fast, then it's an issue that you need to sort out. She seems to be self confident and generally "together" with herself, so shouldn't have any problems with you slowing things down a bit. Past experiences from myself and friends have shown (in my meagre 18 or so years on this planet) that you tend to enjoy the ride more than the destination, so enjoy yourself and don't rush into things.

As the guy, taking control of the situation and leading is how you should approach it. Not abusive or bossy, but a reassuring confidence that you know where you want things to go and how fast. Being a leader, not a follower is probably the best advice I've heard.

And if there's one major no-no that I've seen happen with my own eyes is guys who are needy and clingy. A clingy guy is obvious to the girl and everyone within a 2 mile radius, but not the guy himself. If you're constantly around her, talking to her at every available opportunity, and generally stuck to her then eventually she'll feel that you're sucking all her energy. That's when the "I need some space" line comes in handy.

Generally, relax, have fun, pursue other interests and be in control. I'm sure you'll do fine Swansen. But remember, do not take my advice. Ever. ;)
