i want a new motherboard..... decisions decisions

hi all,
i asked a while ago with regards as to which motherboard i should get, teh answer was the A8N SLI Deluxe, which for me is to expensive and has stuff i dont need, like the sli bit for instance.
what i am after is a good motherboard which will accept the following:
amd 64 3500+ skt 939
at least 2gb of ram
atx or micro atx form factor
pci-express graphics - im not really after the sli capabilities btu if it has it then..... whay

i mainly play games and i have been wanting to be able to run battlefield 2 on full graphics with no FPS lag. ive got the cpu and 2gb's of ram, all i need now is a new motherboard and graphics card, but i have no idea what to get. the A8N SLI deluxe is a very nice board which if a really wanted to, i could get but then would i really need something with sli mode? are there any other good boards for gaming and what graphics card will play battlefield 2 on full spec?

You could always go with the regular A8N-SLI, or the A8N-E which doesn't have the SLI features. Another option is the DFI LanParty(UT) Ultra-D, especially if you're looking to tweak. You could also look at the ECS KN1 Extreme, which while having some bad color coordinations, is cheap and stable. These boards all fit in the price range between $100 and $130, according to Newegg's prices.

The nForce 4 Ultra chipset has the features you want, and that'd be ideal to look given what you want. Depending on what you want to spend for a video card, you could go with a Radeon X800GT or X800Pro for under $200. If you go between $300-400, look around and see if you can get a GeForce 7800GT. Yeah, the GeForce 6800GT is in the same price range, but the 7800GT blows it away. However, if you can find the GeForce 6800GS for a little over $200, that would be something to look at.

RAM: Patriot, OCZ, GeiL...those are brands to look at. I use Patriot's +XBL line in my main box, and it's some nice stuff. However, if you're not looking to overclock (at least heavily), you might check out some of their LLK or ELK (this is on the end of the alpha-numeric string for the product) stuff for a bit cheaper.
