i7 2600 vs 2700k

should I get the i7 2700k or 2600? the 2600 supports VT-d, which is something I think I would use. Does anyone who runs alot of virtual machines, notice improvement with VT-d?

The 2600 should be more than enough for what you need. You may want to consider the 2600k if you want to overclock the CPU.

That is what I am thinking.... I dont think I want to overclock to more than what you can do with the 2600
