Install new ram, wifi stops; remove new ram, wifi works... HELP!

Hi all,
I am new to the forums. Now, currently I have 2GB (2X1) Patriot DD2 6400 800 MHz installed in my PC with no problems whatsoever. I bought a new 1GB Patriot with same specs to make it 3GB. The problem is, when new 1GB stick is installed (total of 3GB), my wi-fi pci card stops booting up during Vista boot-up. It does show, however in the device manager that I do have my wi-fi card installed, but says it cannot start up. I tried installing new drivers and restarting several times, but it doesn't work. Now when I switch back to 2GB stick as before, wi-fi runs perfectly. I don't know what's going on with memory cause 3GB ram does seem to be fine with my PC, with only problem of wi-fi. Please help regarding this. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for reply. Now, I have tried with 1GB and works perfect (other than slower boot time). I think I have found some differences in tRAS and other timings of RAM latencies. So, I am attaching two screenshots here. First one is of 2GB and other is of 1GB. I used a software CPUZ to know the exact latencies of RAM. So, please check both screenies and have a look at tRAS and tRC settings. They are different for both. Do they need to be same to run perfect my wi-fi? (My Ethernet has no problems.) Thanks again.

Make sure that a) your RAM is good and b) your system is working correctly with it installed. You can do this by running Memtest86+ overnight. Even one memory error is too many.
 
try updating your bios could be a bug that effects other controllers when you install 3gb or more ram. If still no joy after bios update. Try updating the firmware on your wifi card. what controller is the wifi card attached to? pci? pci -express x1?

Thanks for replies and sorry for delay. Now I did check with memtest and I have no problems whatsoever with new RAM (yes, it ran all night long). But, I think I have found the problem - my wi-fi card is Zonet, and somebody has just suggested me that Zonet card and more than 2GB RAM don't go smoothly. Should I buy a new wi-fi card, such as good brands like D-Link? Please have any suggestions. Thanks.
