Is my card not compatible?

I recently bought an nvidia 7600gs to replace my 5500, for my Dell dimension 4600. The manufacturer was Asus. I uninstalled previous drivers, installed the card, then reinstalled the new drivers. I know that the dimension PSU does not have enough power output to power the card, so I purchased a 350W power supply as well. When I turned on my comp., the lights and fans, system, etc. powered up, but the moniter was black. I am pretty sure Windows loaded as well. I tried changing the BIOS to run on the internal card, but it would not work, so I concluded that my comp. is detecting the card, but it is not working. I have verified that the card is good on other setups, and I did the installation by textbook specs. Anyone know anything about this issue, or have any suggestions?
 
How much W did those other systems have on their PSUs (I mean those on which you tested the card)?
 
This might be a bit a blind guess, but is anything on your mobo modified (ie OCed)? See, I've read about some issues w/ the 76 (like this one) and they were all releated to some unstable configurations/colck rates/latencies etc...
 
Nothing is OC'd; the only upgrades I have done is more ram, and a Creative X-Fi sound card. I might check out messing around with my BIOS settings as you suggested to see if that works out. Thanks for the link man, it seems as though we maybe having similiar issues here.
