Ram - 2 x 4gb ddr 1333
In may 2013 I switched to windows 7 64 bit ultimate and in june I blue screened for the first time. In the event log it just says kernal power critical error 41 63 and I really couldn't find any solutions too it. Since June I usually blue screened about once a week, but in the last week its up to about 15 times. The blue screens were originally happening during gaming but now its just at any time, even idling. I reinstalled my OS today, Have ran a fix on my hard drive with no found errors, and have tested my memory with no success. For a while i was unable to boot my pc at all, it would start up than shut down, than I was able to start it with 1 ram stick in, and tested it with no errors. I than tried to start the pc with the other ram stack in, and it would only stay on for 5 seconds again. Now, it doesn't matter what ram stick I have in, or even both and I have no signal to my monitor. I have tried reattaching every wire with no success and can't go back to trouble shooting my original problem until I get a signal to my monitor. Is it possible I shorted my motherboard when playing around with the ram, or is the ram just bad.
Also I want to note that when i was trying to fix the blue screen problem, I updated my bios with a program called live update 5 which I later heard can cause serious damage to your pc. But how do i fix my bios without a signal to my monitor?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!
