    No, you need to do
    Code:
    cd /home/will/Desktop
    That will change to the Desktop directory, now you only do ./filename to run a program, not to change a directory or do a chmod command.

    Then do
    Code:
    ./filename
    The commands don't usually output anything if they were successful, only for warnings/errors.

    Ok, it started installing, then said i need to run installer as a super user :s, whats that mean?

    Ok, i found out its SU, anyway, got the drivers installed, how do i change the Display Resolution now?, i cant change it from 1024 x 768 :s

    Right click the desktop, configure your desktop and then there should be an option somewhere to change screen resolutions.

    Yea i know, but it wont let me change it to anything, the only options are 1024x768 :(

    When it comes to ATI drivers and you want them to work perfectly, you can't just run the installer (or at least that's what I read). In fact, when you run the installer you're given an option to rebuild the package for your specific distro. Or, You can use a pre-built package for your specified distro, and yes they are available in the plf non-free repository. I know because I've downloaded them.

    As long as they will let me play a game its good enough, i need to adjust the resolution now.

    Ok, it's still not letting me change from 1024 x 768 res and 75Hz res :(
