My new Radeon x700 AGP card

Ok in the packaging it contains the card its self and it also has lots of wires, on the anti static bag it says..

"Stop!(Red pentagon), you must connect this graphics board to the computers power supply. Please refer to the getting started guide for installation instructions"

I honestly dont have a clue what to do and it gives a small visual picture of where to connect the wires but i cant find the connections in my computer wtf?

P/S... Getting started guide is not on the installation CD
 
Well I'm pretty surprised to hear the card needs external power but that being the case it may require you to connect a 4-pin molex connector to the card. If you're unsure of what that is use this as a guide: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowI...II TPII-550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply - Retail
see near the left bottom of the pic the cable with the four pin holes? That is an example of a molex connector, however the end is usually white instead of black the principle is the same, there are also 4-pin molex connectors with 4 actual pins what the pin holes are in the example. Either way you'll know right away if you're graphics card has this sort of a connector for you to use. My better instints tell me no unfortunately but in the off chance it does like more expensive graphics card sometime do this is what you're looking for.

it means that you have to connect your card directly to your power supply.
just put the card into the agp slot, then there will be a 4 pin molex connector either at the end, or on the side of the card.
then just find a spare molex connector on you power supply and connect it straight to your card

Though this is entirely true on many cards ATI seems to use a special cable as I've had experience with their X800GTO and it required a different kind of cable entirely (not included with standard powersupplies).
 
Alright I belive I've found what you need, assuming you got the AGP version of the X700Pro, hopefully one that looks very similar to this but either way look at these pics:

see that white plastic piece with the four pins in the upper right? This is the connector you're looking for but as I suspected it's irregular and not like the standard 4-pin molex connectors you're power supply comes equipped with. But fortunately ATI has supplied whoever bought this card anyway with the proper cables need to power the sucker up:

See the far right cable with the three heads? That's the one you need, the smallest head slides into the appropriate connector I explained above on the Graphics card and then the you simply plug one of the larger ends into your power supply, you'll see connectors that look very similar and you can simply snap on right on. Hope this makes sense I know it's a lot to take in:)
 
What's the second one down? Your video card is the second one down on the list (which oddly enough is a HIS PCIe card, not what you bought). Sorry I'm a little slow today.
