Nero Burning Rom - can't burn photo images

Hi, I'm trying to burn about 4.2 gb of photo images (jpg, bmp, gif) onto data dvd but it keeps getting stuck at 3 or 4 % each time. The used read buffer goes right up to 100 % and stays there. I've tried different manufacturers of dvd's and still the same. Does nero need another plugin? Is it the amount of files? Help please! Would really appretiate it.

i think its either your media or you drive, are you using name brand media and is it DVDr or DVD-RW ?
 
I've tried Sony and Maxell dvd's, and my drive is DVD R/WR. I've hand no problems burning avi videos and I'm well under the 4.38 gb max.

Do you mean a different burning program? No not yet but I know that Nero's supposed to be the best.
 
Also, try burning at a lower speed.

Verbatim media are supposed to be pretty good and fairly easy to find. Taiyo Uden (sp?) are the best, but they seem to be hard to come by. I had the same problems when using other media until I got the Verbatim stuff.
