New to building, need help

This will be my first build and I need advice on what to buy. I am wanting to build the best rig I can for a reasonable budget. I have picked these components so far. Please let me know if you know of any issue or better alternatives for a better price.

ASUS P6T DELUXE
GTX 260 (216 cores)
Netzteil Corsair TX 650W ATX 2.2

You haven't specified what RAM (memory) you want in your computer. Note that you need DDR3 RAM when using the Intel i7 CPU.
 
Sorry I would probably go with a 3x1G just because its quiet expensive at the moment.

Does anyone think I should wait 8weeks or so? Will their be a noticeably price drop on the I7 920 and P6T MB?

I personally don't think that these prices will drop within a few weeks. It normally takes more than a year for a newly released hardware product to drop with the price, as it takes quite a while before the i7 is being purchased in large quantities.
