I can see your point, but I wouldn't say the shortages have been all over the media. Nintendo would be foolish not to take advantage of the high demand at christmas before it's competitors begin to take hold of the market. I believe it's just a case of a cheap console being in high demand because of a novelty feature.Well I'm a business student and what i see is strategy behind that lack of supply of Wii consoles. If theres high demand for a product some companies deliberately decrease the supply by a bit so it creates a hype for the product. Wii shortages have been all over newspaper and media.
