why is it that nobody gives you free stuff for about 10 years ?

e.g. banks: they did give you a pen and a balloon when you opened an account, and the Natwest gave away those ceramic piggy backs & stuff like that

why is that ?

Im not sure which contract you have to sign to get your £50. A mate of mine that works for Halifax asked me if I want an account where I get £50 for FREE!

Checkout moneysavingexpert. There is a whole forum where people share links to free stuff. Ive had allsorts of stuff in the past. Usually things like marker pens, samples of tea bags etc.
