I've got a MySpace now for the first time. Its been consuming all of my time. Is MySpace even big in Eurpoe cause I know alot of users are from Europe. Im sorry il make room for HWFs, i promise.

But myself, IMO MySpace is a piece of utter shite. It doesn't often serve a useful purpose, and I've seen people spend almost every minute of their free time on it. They don't learn anything useful, don't contriubte anything but they tend to be too interested in other people. I really couldn't care less about someone elses profile or their friends list. Not to say that you shouldn't go on it of course, this is just my opinion.

lol. I wouldn't say utter shite but I kinda agree. The problem with sites like myspace is that they all have this strange power to hook u into "browsing" the site. Clicking on profiles, reading other peoples' notes/messages/blog entries/etc., reading other peoples' posts on your site, reading other peoples' posts on other peoples' posts, looking at other peoples' pics... and there's no real reason why other than curiosity. But then after u're done u realize that too much time has gone by and that somehow it was all a waste. Or at least that's how I felt those rare times that I got into looking at peoples' myspace profiles.

Never had an account with it, and I don't want one. The think which annoys me the most is how people I know talk about myspace. They say things like:
"Oh I put up a new picture of myself, comment on it"
That's just asking for compliments, you want your friends to say how beautiful you are - they aren't exactly going to say the picture sucks are they.
Another thing (related to pictures still), I can't stand all the pictures of people in mirrors. Everyone on myspace seems to take a picture of themself in front of a mirror, and the camera flash just puts a massive glare right across their faces!

I try to avoid it as I know it would probably consume way too much of my time that I could put to better use. I can see it's value I suppose. Perhaps shyer kids can form relationships easier or distant friends can always use it to communicate, not worrying about long distance phone calls and changed email addresses but I think I probably spend to much time online anyway, I don't need another reason.

lol, yeah i really don't like myspace, and everyone is always like hey make a page, and i'm always like hey why, ususally they have no respone at all. Yeah it would be cool if it actually worked like advertised, like could actually meet people in life. LOL yeah HF already take a good amount of time, specially when some good topics or hard ones come up, i like it, no way there would be time for things like myspace, hm myspace
