OOPSS!!! Can this be repaired?!

I was removing my cpu's fan/heatsink when Suddently... my screw driver (yes... I used a screw driver... :x: ) slipped and kindda hit the motherboard :good:

Now the motherboard gives me the no memory beeps, i accidentally cut 4 "golden lines" (don't know how to call it)

Now is my question that i'm sure I already know the answer :(

CAN IT BE REPAIRED?????

sorry, bit I'm pretty sure that's a negative. Just depends if the damage is more than 'skin deep'
 
I heard something about a resist pen or a trace tape that could MAYBE repair the thing, anyone knows about that?
 
Yeah, if you could lay out some traces (you will need a good magnifying glass) and layer some electrical rosin over it for protection. However, if it's a cheap motherboard you're dealing with (>$100), it probably isn't worth your time, effort and cash for repair materials. :(
 
Well thanks Rextech but theres not a lot of things i can understand on the link you gave me, I don't have the skill at all to solder anything on such small a thing as a motherboard.
 
I'm pretty much with Anti-Trend here. Unless you're really steady with your hands and have some decent magnification, you're better off just biting the bullet and getting a new motherboard. While you might be able to RMA it, you'll be waiting for a few weeks---if the company decides to fix it or send you a new one. I haven't really had to RMA much, but you're pretty likely to be left without a working computer for 2-3 weeks. I know it sucks---believe me, I've had my share of hardware breaking (mostly in frying CPU's---mmm, burning silicon).
 
you say you didnt understand a lot of the link i posted,perhaps you just wanted somebody to fix it for free,are you beyond learning or dont know where the bin is
 
Rextech: no flaming. If you're not familiar with soldering and/or welding, the link is confusing simply because of the different products on it.
 
your right,there is a lot of products within that link and a vast product range,i didnt mean to be rude.i should just have pointed out that i dont know anything about pcb repair my self but id come across that site and noticed a particular product,it was the epoxy resin pcb repair kit,and perhaps with a little research into techniques along with this product,provide a suitable repair at a reasonable cost, which could be done without any specialist equipment other than what is in the kit.Apologies for being rude,maybe the best use, for your motherboard if you cant repair it would be to smash it over my head,so hope you sort it out mate.
