Actually overclocking can give quite a good performance boost, and not always does it create stability problems, for example, my 3700+ AMD is voerclocked my 600mhz, any stability problems? nope, GPU stock = 500/1.6ghz, overclock, 620/1.96ghz, stability issues? nope.
