I have a reletively old PC with:
Processor: P4-1.7Ghz
Memory: 1GB+512MB (2 slots only)
Motherboard: ASUS make
BIOS: Award BIOS
After the last shutdown of the PC, when i booted it up next time it went up to the point of logging me in WindowsXP(SP-3). As soon as the desktop got ready to be used, the display went off although the hard drives and processor were still on.
Thereafter, i have been unable to boot the PC. On starting it up, hard drives work fine and so does the processor. However, the monitor remains blank (not even the opening screen or BIOS options screen). I cannot hear even the beep (or any other error beep signal).
Connecting the PC to another monitor also results in same condition. No beep. No video.
I connected my primary HDD (with the OS installation) on another PC. It works fine. That means my OS installation is fine.
More ever i have onboard Intel Graphics which i cannot remove and reinsert !!
I have checked the VGA signal cord again and again. It seems absolutely fine.
Please help....What can be done to troubleshhpt this...??
