PC goes slow down....

I have broadband connection and i use internet only in night time, hardly on one hour, but next time when next day i access my pc goes slow down (all applications and software takes time to open) and i always clear my cookies,recent documents and all before working on new tasks...

currently my computer having 40GB hard-disk with 256ram and Pentium motherboard(3-years old), ddr-1 so just let me know what to do exactly whether should i upgrade my computer or any small prob that i cant able to fix....

#1 , Need more info on this PC ??? What processor are you running and what is the speed?
#2, You need more Ram....256 is not enough if running XP ..If you are runnning XP ?
#3, check for Viruses and trojans....
#4,do you have cleaning software ???

Yeah i would say that you have very little amount of memory but i would also suggest you do a bit of disk cleaning and then defragment hard drive just to improve things a little. Also do a virus/spyware sweep just in case.
