Hi, I have a big problem. My PC has started to switch itself off during certain applications. The machine instatly switches off, as if it was a power cut. This has only started happening in the last week or so. During STALKER and Farcry it happens every time I play the game, and only today did CSS cause it to shut down.
It happens on both XP & Vista.
I tried running memtest and prime95 to see if it was a memory or over-heating problem but they both ran fine. My cpu temp reached 54C according to speedfan.
Does anyone else know of anything that may narrow down the problem? I have my suspicions that it may be a PSU problem.
Specs:
AMD 64 4000+ (939) not overclocked
DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR EXPERT
Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3500LL Pro TwinX stock timings
Enermax Liberty 500W Modular PSU
