Portable Firefox

I've been using Portable Firefox, which allows you to install Firefox to an external disk like a pen drive and use it on the go, with all your settings and extensions.

I'm using it on the college network, but for anyone else who does you may need to enter the appropriate proxy settings for it to work properly, which can be found in the Internet Explorer settings for reference.

If you cant access the proxy settings in IE (there sometimes disabled by admins) then gain access to a terminal and try

ipconfig /all

you can access the console in many different ways...

if you lucky,
click start >> run >> type cmd or command (on older machines, both work on newer versions of windows)
There might be a short cut in the programs menu to cmd/command (under accessories i think..)

If you get a message saying command promt has been disabled by your admin (when you use cmd.exe), try command instead of cmd

alternitivly, create shortcuts when you need them / or carry them on the pen drive to C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe or C:\windows\system32\command.com

you can also carry the executable if that's easyer.

ps i think all info in this post is correct, but names/paths might be slighty off as i havnt used any of this for a few months
