Power issues even after replacing the PSU

Hello all,

There was no particular event that immediately preceded my issue, it seemed that just one day my computer powered off randomly. I would turn it back on and within 2-3 seconds it would power back off (the monitor wouldn't display anything other than "no signal" and the keyboard lights weren't coming on). I thought the problem was pretty obvious, the PSU must have taken a dump. I replaced it with a brand new 750w thermaltake PSU. Of course it took about a week or more to get it.

After getting the new PSU hooked up the computer booted up and ran fine. Everything seemed fine for about a week. Then the same exact problem showed up again. I can't get my computer to stay on. I did notice that the longer I let it sit there turned off, the longer it will last when I turn it on. That makes me think I have something overheating. All my fans are running (PSU, CPU, Two Case fans). I can never get anything to come up on the monitor and it never stays on long enough for me to do any troubleshooting that way.

I was thinking about replacing the processor, but I can't afford to keep replacing wrong parts...

hi sounds like the power switch to me. Disconnect the power switch from the motherboards control panel and use a flathead screw driver to short the two power switch pins.
