PSP DOwngrader...

hey guys...is there any1 who cn help me out by making downgrader for PSP v2.80. coz i wana use my psp for homebrews things. or is there any1 wnt 2 swap their psp ( v1.50 or v2.60 ) wid v2.80.

I think your going to have to wait awhile for a 2.8 downgrader, i could only find downgraders for 2.7 :/

ya...i dnt think so devhook cn do it...well making downgrader 4 2.8 iz qte hard...well lets c...is there any1 who wnts 2 swap my psp (v2.80) wid their v1.50-2.70

You would be alot better asking friends/famaily as i doubt anyone on this forum is going to swap there PSP with someone they dont know / are unlikely to ever meet.

You will also need at least 50 posts before you can post in the Buy/Sell/Trade forums :/ (and a non-free email address, such as the one your ISP gave you.)

You could also try looking for second hand PSP's and asking if you can check the version, and then try to make a deal with the shop (they will also want an incentive, money always works if your dealing with bussiness :P).

OK, if you have 2.80 Firmware you need to upgrade to 3.03. Do NOT upgrade to a higher firmware. One thing you will require is a Unpatched version of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, if you already own this click here to see if you have the unpatched version or they can be picked up on eBay.

Download the 150.PBP EBOOT File
Download the 303.PBP EBOOT File
Download the 3.03 Downgrade Files

1. Update to firmware 3.03. If already have this firmware then proceed to step 2.

2. Open the 3.03 downgrade file and copy the contents of the folder MS_ROOT to the root of your memory stick.

3. Open the 1.5 update and rename the EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP then copy it to /PSP/GAME/UPDATE/
Make sure not to overwrite PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP

4. Load Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (unpatched)

5. It should get to loading save game, clear the screen, the screen should fill with a light blue color and then reset the PSP
(If this does not happen see below)

6. Check that HEN is running by going to system settings then System Information and it should show up as system version 303 HEN

7. If it is showing up as 3.03 HEN then go to the memory stick and run the x.yz update

8. Before the downgrader does anything to your PSP it will ask for you to agree to what it is doing
If you no longer want to continue press the Right Shoulder Button (R-TRIGGER).

9. Once you have agreed to start the downgrade do not unplug the PSP

10. Once finished the PSP will ask you to press X, after pressing it will reset it self.

11. If it comes up saying that the settings are corrupt press X to continue.

12. Enjoy your new shiny 1.5 PSP.
