question hewlett packard c5180 only want to use black ink

I have my printing settings to print only in black. But it stills uses some color. Does anybody know if there is a setting so I can use only the black cartridge.

Are you sure that you've selected Black and White? If so, then just remove the color cartridge.

Have you tried choosing grey-scale rather than black only?
