Radeon 9700 problem

I think my card is on its way out:(

Has anyone got any idea why this happens?

It only happens on the source engine.:confused:

or do they all do this?
Is your card overclocked or is overheating?

HL2 and episode 1

drivers are up to date.

It's a Connect3D Radeon 9700 equiped with an arctic cooler and overclocked to 9700 pro speeds although it will go much higher with no glitches.

It's been fine for the last two years and is still fine on every other game.

ive had that problem too, with my geforce 5200. you may not want to follow my advise coz it may not work, but it did for me - reformat.
