Radeon 9800 problem

Hi everyone

I recently reinstalled XP (SP2) as my old boot was getting rather bloated.

However on this new install my Radeon 9800 doesn't seem to be working properly.

For example, if I drag a window it leaves behing a trail. And when playing games, they stutter.

I didn't have this problem with the old install so I'm guessing it's not a hardware issue. I've tried numerous drivers but the problem doesn't go away.

I have the latest catalyst drivers both on this and the old boot.

I'd be grateful for any help anyone can offer.

AMD X2 4400
Asus A8V mobo
2GB Samsung Ram
Sapphire Radeon 9800
EMU 1820m Soundcard
150GB WD Raptor
200GB Seagate SATA
160GB Seagate IDE
120GB Seagate IDE

Maybe your video card has defects. If you have possibility to check it out on another pc - try it.
