Reformatted and need to get my wirless network settings back...

Yes anti-trend I gave in and stopped my demonic ways by buying XP Home. I need some more help though, how on earth do I get my wirless network settings back? My dad has the modem in his room so I installed the USB adapter already, but I have no idea where to go or anything to get it set up again. Thanks to anyone who helps.
 
It depends on the settings of your router. Hopefully, your dad is using a strong form of encryption, a quality pre-shared key, and possibly-even MAC authentication. In any or all cases, this is info you'd have to get from your dad (or whomever set up that router). Heaven forbid that thing is left in it's default, out-of-the-box state. But if it is, follow the documentation included with the router.

Actually, Time Warner (my provider) sent a guy over with a router and the USB adapaters and set everything up for us, including the WEP network key and everything.
 
Well, you'll need to get that info. Usually they would leave you with some documentation detailing the info you need to authenticate to your router. If not, you'll have to contact them and aquire the info that way.
 
DAMN IT! I was afraid you would say that. I freaking hate talking to TW. The people there are idiots and hard to communicate with and they have you on hold for like 2 hours, but if it must to be done then it must be done. Basically I gotta call them up and tell em I reformatted so I need to setup my wireless network again and they'll run me through it?
 
Well, if you don't have any documented info and your dad doesn't know either, then yeah, pretty much. :(
