Hi People,

I am a amateur user and need somewhere I can lay my hands on a cheap cheap pc to get my mate to refurbish so I can get online and to use word, and occasional gaming not too much graphix needed.

Any help from the Pc Gurus would be most appreciated !!!

YOU GUYS ROCK !!! :ohah:

The first thing I'd want to do is open up the case and strip down the computer. Theres going to be a lot of dust and muck. Cleaning is best done with compressed air, blowing out not in. Be careful with a hoover because they can introduce static which you don't want near vunerable electronics!

Once it's cleaned, put it all back together using new screws and cables. I'd also recommend replacing the CMOS battery (CR2032) with a new one.

Any computer can handle word processing, so the specification will depend on how much gaming you intend to carry out.

Just one problem I am officially banned on ebay for not contacting the seller when I accidently or sometimes changed my mind on bids I made. Not only that I'm more of a hands on person where I can phyiscally see the goods before I buy. Thanks for your expertese though much appreciated !!:D
