Hi All,
I regularly use couple of hard drives on Desktops and Laptops. Example, I do use a Seagate ATA 80GB 7200 RPM drive for downloading movie or Linux distro torrents. I got doubts on HDD deterioration:
a) Will the HDD life gets reduced because of many torrent downloads? (downloaded some 150 GB of data in 3 month duration)
b) Will the HDD life gets reduced or damaged if I encode a Video file (say 700 MB to 1.5 GB size) while downloading a torrent (i.e., multiple disk writing)
c) Is a Laptop HDD more sensitive (multiple writing) than a Desktop HDD
Kindly give me your inputs. Big thanks :)
