I've posted the issue on the Microsoft vista newsgroup. I should get a reply soon, because there are many M$ lovers out there btw if you enter the command BCDEDIT, what entry is displayed at the column {bootmgr} at the line device? (partition=?)
Ok thanks , hope they will get it sorted Are these Vista newsgroups free? Code: Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6000] Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Use this program. Load the program and click on Manage OS Entries. Select Older Verison of WIndows, or NTLDR, and click on the X to delete that entry. (if the list is emtpy, then goto Diagnostics > Run Diagnostics). Then click on Bootloader (5th button). Select Reinstall the Vista bootloader, and click on Apply. If it asks where to put the bootloader, then choose the C: partition.
Still hasent worked, done what you said, cant format the windows xp partition, tried deleting the BOOT folder but its still in use
I re installed Vista, if i formatted the Windows XP drive it would have made Vista not boot anyway as when i disconnected to 20gb XP drive it wouldent boot, even when i reconnected the drive, it still wouldent boot, its formated now as i re installed vista
Vista is missing a program that can move the bootsector to another drive. M$ can't add a good working partition program, because it would then be added for free. And that wouldn't be honest for the companies that ask money for their products (like acronis disk director or partition magic). I remember that M$ had to make their N-versions of windows (without media player), because media player was bundled for free.
Yeah WMP11 is much better that the previous versions. Much faster. But I still think that WinAMP is much better. But the version of WMP11 in Vista looks quite nice
I dont see why everyone likes Winamp so much, the looks of it are awfull, and i dont see any real benifits of using winamp :s
First of all, Winamp is a compact player. No need to keep moving with that big WMP all the time. 2nd thing, Winamp had MUCH MORE visualisations than WMP. Winamp has Shoutcast. If you would launch a shoutcast station from shoutcast.com in WMP, you'll only hear the music and see many ads. In Winamp you'll hear the music (loads very fast) and see what songs are played at the moment (without ads). You can also download plugins, new visualisations and skins for Winamp. That download page of WMP looks just like it is abandoned for years
Lol, i dont take notice of visualisations , if i want to listin to shoutcase radio, i will use my XBOX
Is that really possible to listen to webradio with an XBOX? I have an XBOX myself, but I never had it connected to the internet.
Yea, you need Splinter cell, an action reply cheat thing, and a special splinter cell save, then that mods it to an evo X dashboard, right now i got it on Xbox Media Center, looks exatly like XBOX 360 dashboard, i also can browse the internet, and youtube Also, about the sidebar in windows Vista, it looks kool, but it uses too much memory for what it is, a good alternative, Desktop Sidebar, tons more features, uses less memory too.
well 17mb of ram infact , Desktop sidebar uses inbetween 5 and 40mb, 10mb on avarage for me unless i load a webpage using it
