Replacing Internet Explorer and Outlook Express

Can you replace (delete and add new) Internet Explorer and Outlook Express applications on a PC without restoring the complete Windows XP Operating System ?

I was told the IE and OE are intrical parts of the the XP operating systems and cannot be separated out -- Is this true ?

i know IE cannot be uninstalled but OE can be removed, Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs, select IE > Add / Remove, then just deselect OE and click Ok, then you can use any mail program you like, but OE doesn't need to be uninstalled for you to use another mail program, just change the default mail program to anything you want, but remember to deselect "check this is your default mail program"
 
yes,It can be removed,BUT I do not recormend it. There is a program called
IE Iradicator,It will remove all IE and OE software.. But Your computer will run
like crap after it is remove.. I have tried it,What a mistake that was.
Just delete IE an OE short cut from desktop,Just don't use them.
I have not use IE or OE in 8 years.. You have all kinds of other choices..:cool:
