Thanks :) Hehe, you'll enjoy them, i belive its the only PC Speaker system to have a 10" sub, bigger is better, i am in one of the most cramped rooms every yet its quite big, and i still manage to fit the sub, at the moment i have it on its side to the port is upwards, i had it on a desk, i had it so the front was down firing too :p
Oh i forgot the say one thing in the review, the magnets on the sub are big, the sub aint shielded, i had it about a foot from my computer, it was ok even tho they reccommend keeping it 1m from any electrical equipment, its just TV's that you gotta be carefull were placing the sub, when you open the giant z5500 box, there should be a warning, but apart from this kick ass sound :)
Max, what video card do i have? X800XT, sound card you meant? i have an X-FI Fatal1ty, i used my onboard with the z5500's for some time, even with onboard the sound is brilliant, infact the speakers are so clear, in really low bitrate songs, you can hear some like crackling because of the bit rate, i did not find it a problem as its only really really noticable when your ear is near the speaker, not really a big deal, i have most of my songs in 128kbps, some songs there is crackling, but i havent noticed it since moving to the X-FI, i think that it corrects the music.
Also, the z5500 is one of the few pc speaker systems to have DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround decoders, you have to use optical for that or Coax, apparently with a card like the X-FI you use the X-FI's decoder and use analoug like me, i think with the X-FI its really designed for analoug, if people want to use coax and optical for DTS and DD5.1 they should maybe opt for somthing like the HDA X-PLOSION, best to place subwoofers in corners aswell, prefrebly diagonal and in a corner, i found under a desk and in the corner is amazing :jump2:
I really should os put this in the review, but anyway anything above that sounds bad, dont let it put you off, its a great system, better than most All in one Home Theatre systems, and the z5500 can be a home theatre system :)
