What would ya'll say some of the scariest games were for you? I personally got really freaked out by American McGee's Alice when it first came out, even their rendition of the Aspyr logo made me twitch. But I think it was the cat dude and definately Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum that ruined my childhood gameing experience.
I've heard that the Alien vs. Predator games were extremely scary, I have a friend who love horror themed games but couldn't even finish the first one.
Doom 3 isn't really all that scary for me, it's just too predictable once you get used to the pattern, ohh, glowy gothic circle if I step here 5 baddies will spawn and disembowel me. And when in doubt check your 6 is all you have to remember to survive.
In FarCry when the first Trigen lunged at my face I practically wet myself but generally the game is pretty low key in this field.
And finally, the 2nd Alone in the Dark (I think it was the second anyway) was a pretty creepy game for me when it came out, even though the polygons were the size of my teeth the werewolf was just too much for an 8 year old.
