Screen distortion

It started happening about a month ago, but it's starting to bother me now.
Every time I open a window on my machine I get this "scrambley" crap on the corner. Like interference or something. It doesn't show up very good when I'm on the desktop, or at all in games save one...Spider solitare. It's just a minor annoyance the rest of the time. I'm just worried that my monitor is dying or my card or operating system. Any help I would greatly appreciate.

It could be your videocard is frying, do you have a spare card or a different monitor you could use to test; to rule out the possible causes?

Maybe there's interference from a device near the monitor?
