When I boot up the computer I get to a black screen that says

    "Safe Mode"
    "Safe Mode with Networking"
    "Safe Mode with Command Promt"
"Last Known Configuration (your most recent settings that work)
    "Start Windows Normally"

When I try to select one of the options the computer locks up and then I will have to use Ctrl+Atl+Del to make the computer reboot. I have tried each option and I get the same problem. Is there a way to fix this problem or do I have to reinstall winxp. Please help me if you can. Thank You

If you have the XP CD, put it in whilst the computer boots (make sure it's set to boot from CD in the BIOS), and run the recovery console from the setup screen (after it's loaded all the drivers).

Just an idea... not sure if it'll work.

How much time you wait for?? where do you believe your computer locks up?? Because if you are using safe mode or so then it really looks lyk that computer has locked up. Use the last known configuration thing and wait for sometime n see if it works?? :p
