Setting up network between linux and windows

My laptop runs XP SP2, and is protected with Norton internet security 2007. It is connected to the internet with a wireless router. The IP of the router is 192.168.1.1. The IP of the laptop is 192.168.1.10. On my PC, I have SUSE 10.2 installed. My wireless USB dongle is not supported, so I want to build a network between my PC and laptop, so that SUSE can connect to the internet via the laptops internet connection. How do I set this up (IP addresses, settings etc.)?
edit: My laptop is connected to the internet with a wireless connection, and the connection that I want to make between the pc and laptop is a LAN ethernet connection with crossover cable.
 
I don't know squat about Linux networking, let alone sharing an internet connection. However, I think you'd be much better off either, purchasing a *nix supported Wireless adapter or simply plugging your laptop into one of the router's free LAN sockets.

If you have an ethernet card and a wireless card in your laptop, you should be able to set up ICS in windows xp on the laptop. Check out these instructions setup ICS with WindowsXP:)

Once you set up the laptop, you can try to set up your desktop to accept dhcp if it is not already, or set it up with a static ip on the subdomain that you create with the ICS and point to your windows box as its gateway. Ive never done it like this though, ive been able to do sharing between 2 linux boxes before, but supposedly its possible. Theres a thread in the above link that tells how to set the ifconfig for linux for DHCP as well. I hope this helps.

Once you get them talking to eachother, what are you trying to accomplish? Shared Internet access, file sharing, NT domain, what?
 
I want to use the network to get internet access with Linux. So I want to use my laptop as a router to connect the linux pc with the wireless connection of the laptop. I'll have to do this, because my wireless USB dongle doesn't work in linux.
