Ok, first off - Audigy 2's DO have emu10k1. That is correct. I had been having the same problem with sound on my Mandriva 2005 LE... I JUST found out how to make the freakin sound work - it took me forever. SOOO here's what'cha do:
open kmix(menu - Multimedia - Sound - Kmix), click the "Switches" tab,
now check that Tone and IEC958 is disabled, and enable Audigy Analog/Digital Output Jack. When it's bright, it's on and when it's dim, it's off. I dont know why Mandriva has this problem, but it's the only problem that I know of. And as far as I know, the problem only exists with Audigy 2 cards. If you have problems with this, post. I'll get back to you with another way to fix it (I didn't give that description because it's in the shell). GOOD LUCK and let us know! :good:

*edit* Before you test it, make sure the Master volume is all of the way up :x:
