trying to find the weakest link in the system..

ok so im looking to somewhat major upgrade my computer
and im not sure exactly what specs are noramlly listed but ill list what i think is the major stuff

none of this is overclocked or modded

dell dimension 4400
windows xp
intel d845pt motherboard (not supported anymore by intel i believe)
p4 processor
768 ddr dim ram (just added a 512)
30 gb western digital master hardrive, 120 gb seagate slave
no known sound card
geforce 6200 graphics card (just bought for 180 at best buy, so can return if needed)

thats really all i can think of for now, any thoughts? im mainly just looking for a halfway decent gaming machine, not looking to spend all that much

180 for the 6200 is a TOTAL RIP OFF. Best Buy is for people that have fat wallets and fear selection, with that price you can get a 6600GT.

yeah you got ripped off man, even like a BFG 6600GT fits into that account if you get it from a good store, can you turn it back into the store? got a receipt?

also for a gaming machine, you save money and get more performance if you choose AMD, but since you're an intel guy i wont complain haha

yeah ive decided im going to return it. and upon discussion with a more experienced technological friend of mine ive decided to just make my very first own computer, hooray
