is it possible that the red/yellow and white connectors are outputs rather than inputs can anyboby help.:)

Sure, it's possible. But without knowing the make and model of the card, it's hard to say.

Usually you can find the information besides every port of the card...
For ex a Mic sign besides a Mic Port and same as others...!
