Hi, I want to ask about upgrading my RAM.

Here the info about my PC:

As you can see, I have only 2GB of RAM.

Info about the current RAM:

My question is if a modern 1600 Mhz 8GB stick (4GB X 2 ) of RAM will be "OK" on my motherboard.

or 1333 MHZ?

Or should I take something else. Please give your suggestion.

P.S
I know I need a 64 BIT version of WIN7. I will upgrade it too.

That memory should work just fine. The memory controller natively supports 1333 so no issues there. If you were to opt for DDR3-1600, then that would need overclocking the memory. Yes, you could go for a DDR3-1600 kit, which will default to 1333, but with XMP enabled will apply the 1600 frequency. Whether your mem controller will play along is a different story. The price difference between 1333 and 1600 these days is so little that one might as well buy 1600.

I am using Corsair 2 X 4GB CML8GX3M2A1600C9W with my H55 board and an i3-540 without any issues.
