upgrade to AGP 8x DVI /HDMI video card

I currently have an AGP 8x card with VGA output and I want to replace it with an AGP 8x or 4X with DVI and/or HDMI output so that I can connect it to my new Asus VE248Q monitor which has both DVI and HDMI inputs.
Is there anything special I need to do when I remove my old card before I install the new card?
I appreciate any response.
 
I need an AGP 8x video card with DVI or HDMI output that works with both Windows 7 and Linux Fedora 13 operating systems. My MB only has 3 PCI slots and 1 AGP 8x slot.
Anybody using a card that works with both?
 
I've merged both threads.

AGP is an old interface, which is not being sold anymore. It's all PCI-Express these days (not to be confused with PCI). I believe that HDMI graphics cards where released after AGP was discontinued, so you'll have to replace your motherboard with a recent one that supports PCI-Express (all of them do since a few years), and get a recent graphics card.
