User acount problem

Hi! Does anyone know why I have lost the option to switch between windows users, we have 5 users on my pc but since I installed a PC card for my wireless connection I can no longer access the other users.

go to Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Click on "Change the way users log on or off" -> Use Fast User Switching (make sure its ticked)

it will not let me change it , it says i have got uninstall the wi-fi device to be able to change it but i need the wi-fi adapter.

You may have a problem with your registry .. to be specific it is a problem with 'msgina.dll'. This is because the new WiFi software modifies this DLL, so restoring it back to the original should fix your problem..

Is it safe to make this alteration to the registry or could it cause problems?

It is safe, but always make a backup before you make modifications (sorry I should have included that in my post!).

In Regedit navigate to File > Export and save it to a place such as desktop!
