Video Card problem?

Recently, I upgraded my computer. My comp specs: Leadtek 8800gts, Pentium D 3.4ghz x2, 2gigs of OCZ DDR2 667hz.

My computer wasn't performing as well as I thought it should, so i checked out bios and set the slot to PCI-e for the main video boot device. Now the last 3-4 times ive tried to play wow.. a loud beeping noise will sound through my headphones.. not really beeping but just distorted high pitch noise.. along with my screen and whole computer locking up... does anyone know why this might be happening.. ive checked the temperature and the highest its getting is 63C please help :)
 
Do you have another PCI-e slot available? If so, then try to place the video card into another slot. If not, then you might consider contacting the technical support of your motherboard manufacturer. Because the data of your video card should not reach the audio circuit.
EDIT: I have this problem with my motherboard sometimes. A strange noise in the speakers when I run the PC on full load (like heavy 3D operations in autoCAD).
 
This is a hardware issue. Formatting the system won't help in this case. I don't have an idea how to solve it right now.
 
It seems to only mess up on World of Warcraft.... are you sure its only a hardware problem? On games like Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike:Source can handle it... im still confused.
 
Well, Windows can't be causing strange noises in the headphones. Maybe slowing down the audio acceleration (windows control panel > sounds and audio devices. At the bottom of the small screen at Speaker Settings, click on Advanced. Click on the tab Performance. At the Hardware Acceleration, put the slider into the 2nd mode Basic Acceleration. Now click on OK at the 2 screens.)
 
I had wierd sound coming through speakers and headphones on my old PC, turned out the motherboard was fualty.

I got this wierd beeping stuff on F.E.A.R aswell, turns out i had to lower sound settings because the sound card was not good enough.
