Viewing my duel monitors?

I just bought another monitor to go with my tft so now i have 2 tfts(same model)

i got the adaptor for my gfx card(9600XT) so i'm using the VGA one provided with the monitor and the DVI adaptor i bought..

now i get a picture on both monitors when booting up the bios
but when i get to windows the monitor connected to the DVI goes black and i cant see a thing..
and the VGA one gives me a picture for a little then goes black aswell
but the VGA one does tend to flash a picture occasionally..
if i unplug the DVI i get a picture back on the VGA but if i unplug the VGA the DVI one just says no input signal..

any ideas?
 
You need to go into your display advanced settings and configure the two displays through the wizard or whatever provided with your drivers. Otherwise your card gets confused and doesnt know which monitor to use!
 
right i got both monitors working it seemed to be the catalyst i was using
i'm now using 5.7
however when i enable my second monitor it flickers a bit and jerks alot

anyone know what that is? really annoying
 
No, thats pretty wierd, 'could' be interference of some sort, overheating monitor, could be anything.
 
Try adjusting your refresh rate on the second monitor. The DVI output may also be set to maximize the refresh rate on the monitor it's connected to, and the VGA Output is being affected.
 
seemed to be a part of my catalyst
all sorted now
i checked the process list and noticed an ATI process running but it was jumping from 0 CPU to 30 and back down
I closed that process and the DVI monitor ran fine

just more buggy software from ati i guess
