WD My Book Studio Smartware Software

I don't really like the Smartware software that came with MyBook. I could not delete it. Am I missing something? Is there a way I could delete this?

I also have a WD My Book, but never used the software.. it seemed really slow. I just partitioned and reformatted. you might check the permissions on the folder. sometimes you have to start within the folder and delete sub-folders before you can delete main folder?

if you go to WD Support > Knowledge Base > My Book and select your model and OS it will have a section on removing software
