    well, look @ this
    [IMG]
and i removed the donkey, to get this
    [IMG]
[ot]obviously i've had to convert in to .png, & as you know .png's don't support transparency[/ot]BTW: i've found that it's easier to remove stuff with colour select and then either bucket fill the parts you didn't want to remove of use the rubber[ot]it there an easier way ?[/ot]BTW: zoom in on the donkey's right cheek, it's not hairy, on the second pic

basically i used select region by colour (5th icon fromthe left, top row of toolbox) then fill in the gaps made through to the alpha channel with either bucket fill or the rubber

yeah, that's good, then use colour selector ([IMG]) then bucket fill with that colour ([IMG]) and keep going with bucket fill (to start with it doesn't appear to be working, but keep bucket filling on the transparency)

BTW: .jpg's need you to add an alpha channel first <Layer > Transparency > Add Alpha Chanel>

BTW: you may find it easier to start on a black & white pic

BTW: Imageshack being a tw4t, will try with photobucket, fixed with photobucket but it' a tw4t, who does anyone suggest for image hosting ?
