Yeah, which is why I said that work is a good place to meet someone, rather than online chatrooms or nightclubs.

Glad you liked the story, there's two more, the story of us getting together and the story of how I proposed to her.

I have not come across anyone who doesn't think my proposal was cute. :D

congrats big B!! :jump2: Totally awesome, its funny i started reading this post today after griping about gfx card issues, and i didn't even realize there were like a thousand pages to this post. So i'm like haha i hate when people think you're dating someone you're not, then i look to the end and you're gettin hitched! Awesome dude!
 
Once I get my PC with a Bluetooth connection I'll post a pic of my and my fiance too, people say we look cute but I never think either way, always an outsiders viewpoint.

For us, we get one of two responses: "You're a cute couple" or "Oh, noooo!" We also threaten to spawn--not reproduce---spawn! The actual wedding won't be until next September (as in 2006). It's going to be a pretty small ceremony---just the immediate families and the grandmothers, so we're looking to have it at the same place as the reception. Some of her family is Catholic and would like to have her do a Catholic wedding, but neither of us want that (and won't). There's enough things I disagree with on that faith that I can't step into Catholicism and follow along.

The best news is that her dad didn't hit the ceiling. We both thought he'd go ballistic, but he didn't. I guess the things in our favor is how we're going to pay for the wedding ourselves and not give 2 1/2 weeks notice like her brother.

The other nice thing is that the ring came in a week earlier. She knew it was coming, but the jeweler's had it in earlier than we expected. When she got it, she was so excited she couldn't stop shaking for a good 15 minutes. ;)

I hope I get as lucky as you, seems things went really smooth, and you're happy man, things couldn't be better huh? :good:
 
Great news B! You've passed the toughest obstacle, getting her father to let you marry her. If it's the same over there as it is here then it's VERY tough to do, even if you're his best friend you'll have a hard time.

Very happy for the pair of you B, stay in love and stay together. :)

I hated Meet The Parents, hated Meet The Fockers even more, simply because of how much of an a$$hole her father is. If my fiance's dad tried anything like that I know she would disown him and I know I wouldn't talk to him either, no matter what he tried.
